As for war of any description, 
it is all based on fear 
which creates anger & other destructive emotions!

Fear someone else will be in control.

Fear someone else will take, what another covets.

Fear one will not have, what one is entitled to have.

Until fear is controlled individually, 
all who fear will group together for a common goal 
.... that usually results in destruction - 
either in neighbourhoods; countries; councils; or families; 
& peace suffers as an impossible 'ideal' 
as a result of the human condition!
